Diagnosis of Dementia - a practical workshop

This event, held in the lecture hall of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Göttingen was targeted at general practitioners, neurologists, psychiatrists and medical secretaries, and each of these groups were represented by the 50 participants who attended this workshop in the German language. The participants were informed about the use, evaluation and pitfalls of the simple neurophsychological tests available in the diagnosis of dementia. They were then given the opportunity to test their understanding by viewing and evaluating videos of people undertaking these tests.
Going on the buzz of discussion during the break and the comments made by the participants to the presenters, the workshop was received very favourably and was found helpful.
